Three priorities for Ward 4
Drawing on years of service on Northfield's Park Board and beyond, here's where I'll focus.
Affordability
Doing more with less: prioritizing core infrastructure while working with local partners to fund new amenities.
Accessibility
A council that listens, stays consistent and transparent, and is genuinely open to resident input and concerns.
Meet Peder
Rooted in Northfield since 2005
I share a life here with my wife Kaethe, our kids Thisbe and Matteus, and our dog Quimby, and you'll often find us around Way Park. I've coached youth baseball, soccer, and Nordic skiing, served on the Park & Recreation Board for eight years, and teach religion, philosophy, and ethics at St. Olaf.
Much of my work is thinking about what makes a good life, and a big part of that is the willingness to actively care about the common good. That's what I'd bring to the council.
